Just come back from a really good week in Paris with some friends of the skin at ant. People on the trip were, Arthur Tubb, Justin Jones, Willy Mason, Tim Bartelott and yours truely. Must be said fun was had by all and we got to meet up with Chas and Samir for a skate and also with a really good bunch of friends. Thanks to everuone who was nice whilst we were out there. The fashions of skating no longer exist as they did back in 2008 no skin tight jeans with band t-shirts, no baggy trackies and xxxxxxl t-shirts and no cords and check shirts your skate shoes cost you £1000 cause they last for ever. Composite carbon enfused cotton and acid proof rubber soles make up your shoes now not suede and gum soles. The stars of skating are the youth brigade who perform hover flip to hover glide down 30 stair handrails. And if you fall now the leathers, like a biker, that you wear will save you. Its now all about being the no1 hover boarder in the world. You can earn millions and you are now a celebraty on the evening news on all the music videos. Girls want to bed you and guys want to be your best friend.

You retire at 20 beacuse you can and you remenise about the days when skating was fun and not serious and friends got on with each other when cities had crews of skaters that all got on and stood by each other when times were hard. Not now though cause you are the exchamp and worlds no1 hover boarder.......

Don't you just love the cold winter days? I do, wrapping up warm in my hat and gloves ducking and diving from the cold. Going down to Dev green and playing continuous games of skate just to keep warm. Drinking hot coffee. Even the sounds of skateboards are so much more crisp in the fresh winter air. Then out of the blue you slam on the hard cold floor and wish you hadn't bothered.... Well it don't matter because you know in 4 months time the weather will be much better and now the high speed trains are arriving europe is only 3 hours away from the good old north.
